By launching the Northern New England Practice Transformation Network, we grew our quality improvement and practice transformation assistance in two exciting ways: we partnered with colleagues in New Hampshire and Vermont to reach practices across northern New England, and expanded our outreach to include behavioral health and specialty care providers.

Our Spreading Choosing Wisely in Maine campaign to help people avoid unnecessary medical tests and procedures took a community approach this year. Working with partners in the Mid Coast and Bangor regions, we reached nearly 100,000 health care providers and consumers with messages about decreasing overuse of antibiotics, anti-anxiety medication and imaging.

We launched the QC Learning Lab, an exciting new source of digital learning for providers and practices getting ready for value-based payment.

QC turned 10 years old in 2016, celebrating a decade of bringing together the people who give, get and pay for health care to transform the way health care is delivered. Over that time, we’ve become a catalyst to achieve better health for Mainers by introducing innovative models for health care, and building clinical and community connections to promote health care transformation.
